Most  boaters who cruise Puget Sound name Desolation Sound as a prime destination. We feared Catalina-like crowds but most cruisers, it seems, have already headed south for the winter. Gone are the modern marinas and plentiful shore-side cafes. But our food locker is well stocked and our fuel tanks are full. We feel reasonably self-contained. We are ready to enjoy Pacific Northwest cruising at its’ finest.
